After School

Life skills, as well as social and recreational opportunities, are offered for youth and young adults with developmental disabilities ages 13-22 years old.  Activities include cooking, cleaning, computers, shopping, laundry, safety, personal hygiene, fitness and nutrition, gardening, karate, bowling, homework assistance, art, music, dance, photography, drama and more.  For many of our students, the only avenue they have for socialization and friendship are at their school.

We strive to provide opportunities that encourage the development of life long friendships after they graduate from school and when they age out of Mychals.  During the summer, we have extended hours, which allows us to offer additional enriching activities to our students, such as: deep sea fishing with the Del Rey Anglers, Dodgers games, museums, hikes, bike riding in Griffith Park and more.

We currently have 2 locations – in Hawthorne and Culver City.
