Fundraising Tips to help you reach your Goal!
1. Personalize your donation page!
Write your own story explaining why you are fundraising for Mychal’s Learning Place and helping to spread awareness for this organization. Bonus points if you add festive profile pics!

Individual Page
I’m raising funds for Mychal’s Learning Place, a nonprofit close to my heart that empowers youth and young adults with developmental disabilities. Their mission is simple but powerful: to create a path to independence because no one’s goals or dreams should be limited by disability.
One of the ways Mychal’s does this is through vocational training and real job opportunities. Students gain hands-on experience at Mychal’s Café & Bakery, Mychal’s Print & Embroidery, and with job partners in the community. These opportunities prepare them for employment while also building confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose.
That is why I am fundraising. The 85% unemployment rate among this population is unacceptable, and I believe everyone deserves the chance to work, grow, and pursue their dreams.

3. Write an email
Send an email to your supporters asking them to join your team & participate in the Santa Stroll or support your fundraiser! Here’s a brief example, just copy and paste:

On Saturday, December 13th, I will be taking part in the 7th Annual Santa Stroll, walking from Hermosa Pier to Manhattan Pier and back to support Mychal’s Learning Place.
Mychal’s provides youth and young adults with developmental disabilities the training, support, and opportunities they need to build independence and pursue their goals. From job training at Mychal’s Café & Bakery and Mychal’s Print & Embroidery to partnerships with local employers, students gain real-world experience, confidence, and meaningful employment opportunities.
