Mychal’s Learning Place produces events throughout the year that fundraise to support the critical programs and services provided to youth and young adults with developmental disabilities. Special Events also create opportunities for the community to see just how capable, able, and talented all of our participants are and how much of an asset they are to the community. The Annual Luncheon & Auction is our longest standing fundraiser that includes an afternoon of celebration featuring silent & live auctions, student performances, awards, and so much more. Highlighting the spirit of Mychal’s Learning Place, the Annual Luncheon & Auction is the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization supporting more than half of annual fundraising totals.
Halloween Drag Queen Bingo is one of the most energetic events hosted by Mychal’s Learning Place. Featuring a costume contest and an evening of food, games, photos and fun led by one of our favorite drag queens. It’s the perfect time to mingle with friends and support an incredible cause. All proceeds from this event support Mychal’s Learning Place programs and services.
The California Great Santa Stroll is part of a world competition for the most Santas gathered in one location. The festive event is a 5K run and walk for all ages and abilities. Even our 4 legged friends can join the fun of the walk and costume contests! Join hundreds of Santas as we stroll the strand from Hermosa Beach to Manhattan Beach and back.
The 10th annual Friends of Mychal’s Art Show is in alignment with Mychal’s mission of providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities. All of our artists fall within this community and have a strong focus on growing their presence in the art world. This fun open house is free admission and open to everyone in the community – we hope you will join us for a day filled with beautiful art, music, tasty coffee, and more!
